This week our littlest learners are once again exploring the wild world of animals in Week 2 of our Wild Animals theme. From the powerful roar of lions to the gentle giants of the savannah, children are learning more about habitats, movement, patterns, sounds, and the incredible diversity of wildlife through fun, hands-on activities and imaginative play. In Grade R, the journey takes a different route as we explore the exciting theme of Transport. From cars, buses, and trains to planes, boats, and bicycles, our learners are discovering how people travel, move, and connect across land, air, and sea. 🐞 Theme of the Week: Insects 🦋 Grade R Theme: Jobs People Do This week at Yummies Nursery School we're exploring two fascinating topics! Our younger learners will be discovering the amazing world of insects, learning to identify different creepy crawlies, where they live, how they help our environment, and what makes each one unique through stories, songs, crafts, and hands-on activities. Our Grade R learners will be focusing on the important jobs people do in our communities. From doctors and firefighters to teachers, farmers, builders, and many more, they'll learn how different careers help make the world a better place while encouraging imagination, curiosity, and respect for others. It's going to be another exciting week filled with learning, creativity, and plenty of fun as we inspire curious minds to explore the world around them. We can't wait to see all the wonderful discoveries our little learners make!

🍓 Theme of the Week: Fruit 💧 Grade R Theme: Water Another exciting week of learning is underway at Yummies Nursery School! This week, our younger learners will be discovering the colourful and delicious world of fruit. Through fun stories, songs, arts and crafts, games, and sensory activities, they'll learn to recognise different fruits, explore their colours, shapes, tastes, and textures, and discover why healthy eating helps our bodies grow strong and healthy. Our Grade R class will be exploring the importance of water. They will learn where water comes from, why every living thing needs it, how we use it in our daily lives, and why it's important to protect and conserve this precious gift from God. Engaging experiments and hands-on activities will help bring these lessons to life. At Yummies Nursery School, we believe every day is an opportunity to learn, grow, and discover God's amazing creation. We look forward to another week filled with smiles, creativity, and meaningful learning as our little ones continue to build a strong foundation for the future.

This week, our younger classes will be exploring the colourful world of vegetables. Through exciting stories, songs, creative art activities, and hands-on learning, the children will discover different types of vegetables, learn where they grow, and understand how they help our bodies stay healthy and strong. We hope to inspire a love for healthy eating from an early age! Our Grade R learners will be focusing on fruit, learning to identify a variety of fruits, their colours, shapes, seeds, and the important vitamins they provide. They'll enjoy interactive activities that encourage healthy choices while developing observation, language, and early science skills. At Yummies Nursery School, we thank God for the wonderful foods He has provided to nourish our bodies. Our younger learners will be exploring the difference between healthy and unhealthy foods. Through fun stories, interactive games, creative art, and hands-on activities, they'll learn which foods give us energy, help us grow strong, and keep our bodies healthy, while also understanding that treats are best enjoyed in moderation. Our Grade R learners will be taking a closer look at vegetables. They'll discover the many colours, shapes, and varieties of vegetables, learn where they grow, and explore why these nutritious foods are an important part of a balanced diet. Activities throughout the week will encourage healthy eating habits while developing language, observation, and early science skills. At Yummies Nursery School, we believe in nurturing healthy bodies, growing minds, and grateful hearts.
